Teething Babies
There are a few things you can do to help your baby poke those tiny teeth through – which is what makes them chew on everything, because it felt good.
One, keep away all small objects and things you don’t want them chewing, sucking, or licking.
Some things that the baby like to chew on.
A wet face cloth (just wet a corner)
Baby chew toys especially the ones that you can freeze
There are baby rattle toys that have a spot for chewing. These are good because it’s a toy, that makes noise plus it’s got the big bumpy area for chewing, and it’s a cloth, so it takes care of drooling, too.
You can try foods such as baby biscuits called Mums, soft pretzels (no salt), bagels that sort of thing You must not leave the baby unattended when they use food teethers. The food can and does break off, and pose a choking hazard. You should remove or change the food item before it gets soggy, and disgusting and dangerous.
You can also get teething tablets, called “little teethers” that dissolve immediately in your baby’s mouth to help sooth teething.
Don’t use ambesol or anything like that – their mouths are too small, and it will make their whole throat go numb, and poses a choking hazard. Use teething tablets, infant tylenol, or frozen teethers to sooth your baby instead.
